Today i’m going to work through my cell replacement, The Cell by Mainline Baits is a known bait that the carp absolutely love and you can guarantee that any lake you fish the fish have eaten it!

The main selling points to it is that it does not contain, milk protein, fishmeal or birdfood.

Now, why not just use The Cell, well the big problem with the mix is the price, at around 13£ a kilo it gets a bit pricey, especially on lakes where the fish feed in a pack and they can eat kilo after kilo. 

Now most of us know The Cells’ main attractor (smell) is a coconut flavor so that’s where we have started.

The Ingredients are as follows;

Dry

• CM60                      0.1kg
• Coconut Protein     0.05kg
• Ground Tiger nut    0.1kg
• Betaine HCL           0.02kg
• Coconut base mix     0.5kg 

Wet

• Eggs                         6
• Coconut Flavoring   2ml

All ingredients where sourced from Quality Baits as they have the best quality for the best price.

Cos per Kilo was down at £2.83 at high quantities but only raise to around £3.40 for small quantities.

• Step 1: I mixed all of the Dry ingredients into a bucket at the above ratios, using an electric drill with a pint mixer attached. 
• Step 2: Mix the wet ingredients int a jug, throw the entire egg into the mix!
• Step 3: the combination, now i just chuck it all in and use a needing electric whisk

Now the proof is in the pudding, fished alongside The Cell, my cell replacement performed exceptionally with 3 fish over a night session to 1 on The Cell and 1 on the Winter Mix.
